American Cabbie Story: Ghana to Atlanta

“When you have money, Ghana is the place to be.  When you are poor, this is the place to be.”

Years in the U.S.? 12 years in Atlanta.

Why leave? Everything.  Better life.

What did you do in Ghana? Worked at Ministry of Foriegn Affairs processing passports.

School? Georgia State.

Family? 3 babies.  Was Catholic in Ghana.

Why Atlanta? Weather is similar to home and I knew someone.

What do you miss most about Ghana? Family.

Soccer fan? Oh yeah.  We recognized a professional basketball player walking on the sidewalk with takeout.  [JR Smith, Cleveland Cavalier
