Summer in the Heartland – A Deck Retreat

I sit outside after a summer storm and fill my senses.

Sound – The robins, cardinals, and sparrows flit around the yard with their happy tunes.

Sight – My flowers are a gardener’s delight with bright whites, lime greens, faint purples, and deep reds.

Smell – The best part of sitting outside is the pungent smell of honeysuckle which has overgrown in the adjacent woods.

Touch – I rock in the chair to the soothing water sounds.

Taste – The mint and basil that are abundant in my herb garden accompany my Perrier.

Who wouldn’t want to sit outside in this at-home spa?
