Sankei-en Garden – A Spring Delight

Spring has arrived in Japan – 65 degrees, 77% humidity and a warm sea breeze.  It was the perfect day to go see Sankei-en Garden in Yokohama and get in a long walk to get there (8k + getting lost ~2k).   The Ume, Plum Blossoms, Festival starts next weekend but I got a jump on it.

  1. Amazing shots! Congrats

  2. Rob Moses says:

Love that first picture with the crow! haha., I love when they tilt their heads like that 🙂 Good dof too 🙂

  3. great pics, is that “Camilla” a camellia? 😉

  4. Hi Colleen – your duck is a Tufted Duck. Very common here in Britain and pretty common in Japan. Your ‘pretty bird’ is a Dusky Trush – common enough in Japan but a Mega rare in Britain and one of the birds I most want to see.
The Plum blossom does look JUST like that I photographed yesterday, so I’ll change my blog.
